The Third Frontier of the Web

Today we are witnessing a real evolution in the life of the Internet, something we refer to as the Third Frontier of the Web. To understand where we are now and where we are going, it is crucial to understand where we started. Web3.0 (where we are today) requires a new set of tools and behaviors that will allow anyone to organize the Web in ways that are meaningful and useful both to an individual and to the broader community. This activity is called digital curation, and it is currently one of the most fertile grounds in terms of discussion, news/media and new tools under development.

As an attendee during this presentation, you will learn:

  1. What digital curation is and how the Web is evolving because of it
  2. What the future holds for contextual search on the Web
  3. How a new generation of digital tools will change the way we interact with the Web
