Jim Jacoby is the founder of Manifest. In 2001, he founded this first-of-its-kind interactive agency to successfully integrate technology, marketing/design and user-centered thinking. Now an industry leader, Manifest led the charge of Web 2.0 during its early years. Manifest’s people bravely embraced then-alien concepts of interoperability, social media, and user-experience for revolutionary results. Today, Manifest continues to develop strategies and initiatives that test the uniquely interactive nature of new media. Under Jim’s guidance, Manifest continues to challenge the conventions of the marketplace in the interactive industry and throughout those his teams touch. Jacoby is an adjunct professor at DePaul University, College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM). He is the creator and host of The New Architect, and maintains a rigorous lecture schedule on both the university and conference circuits. A poet and writer, he holds a degree in English from NIU, with an emphasis on business and philosophy.
