Chad Reichert is a designer, professor, writer, entrepreneur and design advocate. His writings and work have been featured in various national publications and venues. He lectures on topics that include typography, time-based media and design education. Chad is currently serving as president of AIGA Detroit, the professional association for design. In this capacity, he seeks out opportunities to celebrate the rich heritage of Michigan design while increasing awareness on local and state-wide levels. He is also co-founder and design director of the Kaya Foundation whose mission is to create a sustainable marketplace where individuals from low income communities can offer ecological services provided by their forests as an innovative financing mechanism to fight deforestation, global warming and alleviate poverty.

The emergence of digital publishing platforms are allowing individuals and organizations to reach a larger audience with greater ease. This accessibility is changing the role of the digital creator. The boundaries of how we work and where we conduct business are being redefined.
